See ya PFP!

I got a call from the job I've been working to get - and they are going to make me an offer by next Thursday! I can't wait!! Exicted doesn't cut it when describing how this one feels!! If this offer comes back as good as I think it will - life will be freaking fantastic!

2nd Interview

I have my second interview for a job on Wednesday morning!! I hope it goes well! I think this will be a great advancement for me! My only concern is not being with the kids as much as I am now - but we'll figure it out! Maybe we will have to seriously consider a move!! I'm more than happy to do that! But lt's not get too ahead of ourself here. We'll see what Wednesday brings!!

The Search Continues....

I hate job hunting! I really do. I had another interview Monday the 8th with this great company. It's a very autonomous position with so much growth potential. The skills required a varied. It's just perfect!! It's an hour away though in Marlborough - but Richard started his new job at Gyrus ACMI in Southborough, so hopefully our schedules mesh enough that we can commute. We'll see!
On the flip side - summer is over! It flew by so fast. I don't feel like we got much of anything done!

Ms. Taylor's first day of 6th Grade

Josh's first day of 5th Grade.

We've been trying to play catch up with the kids and do things with our final remaining nice weather. We went hiking on Labor Day to Jacob's Hill in Royalston. It was a great place! I love Richard's branch hat! Talk about perfect placement.

We plan to go back to see Royalston Falls - which was our original destination - however you need 4 wheel drive to get down to it. Now we know!Maybe this weekend! We made it out to a spot called The Ledges which gave us a spectacular view of Tully Lake and Tully Dam.

On the 31st my nephew turned 1. I had the honor of making his first Tigger birthday cake! Taylor worked on his personal cake. They both came out great!

The cut outs on the table are what I used to create this little masterpiece! I printed the pictures from the computer and cut the color part out to use as a pattern. I traced the inside of the pattern onto the cake with a tooth pick. Once I had the outside placed, I free hand drew all the color areas with a toothpick then went back a frosted it all in. I could NOT believe I did so well! I have made many great kid's cakes - but this one is by far the best one I have finished. I started at 8:30 in the morning and didn't finish until 12:50!! It was worth it though. Logan thoroughly enjoyed himself!

The interview

I feel pretty good about my interview yesterday! Hopefully they felt as good as I did. I would really love the position. It's challenging, fast paced, and has room for advancement. What a beautiful compnay they are too. I'll post the name once I find out if I'm in or not!

Tonight is our big Red Sox night! We're going to watch them beat up on Anaheim. It should be a beautiful night for baseball.

My best bud Lisa shocked me forst thing this AM. She's moving away from me -AGAIN!! But she sounds happy about it - and she deserves it - so I say go girl! We just have to figure out a way for us to get together before she leaves.

New Job?!?!?

I have an interview for a new job next week! It's in purchasing - doing purchasing - which is what a purchasing coordinator SHOULD do but apparently at Princeton - that's not the case. I'm so excited! It will be a bit of a haul for me - about 45 minutes compared to my current 8 - but if the money is good and the job allows me to move up the corporate ladder so to speak - I think I'll be loving a commute!

It will also be hard not being so close to the kids if they need me - but I have to think that they are also getting older and more capable of handling some independence. I hope it worls out for the best!

2 days in a row!

Have I mentioned I want a new job!! Ugh!

I'm gonna work like a mad woman at the gym tonight. I have quite the aggressing build up going!

My sister is coming over in her newly leased 2008 Jetta. Crazy girl... We'll be dining on some flavor of hamburger meat. No expense spared! ;)

Lisa made me feel guilty!

I started this with the best of intentions - which were to write a little bit every so often! Oops!! I think I may have deleted the other posts I had. Oops again! Once I noticed Literary Lisa's link to here and the comment about how I never update it, I figured I'd go again!

Summer has flown by so far. T&J's Dad actually took them for an extended visit this summer. First time in the entire 5 years of our divorce that he has taken them for longer than 3 days!! They were with him for a week and had fun with their grandparents, at Six Flags, and camping with Aunt Tina!

Richard and I took off to Ohio to visit his Mom and her boyfriend Harry on the farm.

It's beautiful there. The 4 of us were there last Thanksgiving. T&J can't wait to go back. There is a creek down behind the fields with a little waterfall. Richard and I spent time down there cooling our toes in the water and enjoying our own personal vacation.

We also paid our dues and did some "farming" Harry needed to get some hay bales moved, so we got a crash course on operating a tractor and set to work moving 35 bales of hay from a small field to the barn. Can I just say AWESOME!!
That's right - I got me a bale of hay on there!!
I let Richard play too...
We made our way back home via Gettysburg, PA and Watkins Glen, NY. Gettysburg was very sobering. The Civil War may have ended over a hundred years ago (and then some) but to stand on ground were there was so much blood shed was truly an uncomfortable experience. It wasn't beautiful, it wasn't cool, or awesome, or anything remotely "touristy" to me. Just sobering. I was glad I got to visit there. It really makes you think about who and what we have become - or HAVEN'T become - as a country.
On the flip side - Watkins Glen State Park in NY was indescribable! Beautiful doesn't cut it. 19 waterfalls, a nearly 2 mile hike through a gorge once found under the ocean, over 800 stairs, it was fantastic! A definite must see. We can't wait to take the kids back there! The pictures we took do not do it justice.

We made it home on the 18th. Once we crossed into Massachusetts, we were greeted with about 5 or so rainbows. The best was this full one. It was too big to fit in one shot.

So tomorrow is Monday and it's back to reality. Back to what I like to call the hell that is Princeton. If anyone knows of any jobs in purchasing - let me know!!! ;)
